I’m sorry in advance for the lengthy post but I had to get this out… On a long drive to NYC where a friend was supposed to meet for coffee…

Today as I was checking my ‘Facebook’ I had a very strange message from someone I did not know and it was about a friend that just made a big move from another country to America. I slowly began to learn more and more about her and she was such a sweet, optimistic, kind hearted human being … Loved reading, singing Sinatra in the shower, sewing and was always a light when I couldn’t see the positive through the dark.

I was told she had taken her own life…

I can’t believe it still… This beautiful person I didn’t know much about but who let me in enough to know how kind of a soul she was… Had taken her own life. I still can’t believe it.

I wish so badly it was some fake message and that it was all a sick joke of some sort. But it’s not. And the fact of the matter is…. We’re all lost. Really. Nobody has it figured out. NOBODY.

I can’t bring her back. I had no idea she would even think about such a thing… It breaks my heart.

Please reach out to those you love and those you don’t even know. Show them that someone cares. Even when they seem ‘just fine’.

A ‘hello’ or ‘I love you’ or ‘I miss you’ or ’ how are you’ are all it might take to save someone on the edge. This is all proof to me that even the most optimistic of people that can turn your day around in one sentence…. Might be needing it much more in return than you could ever imagine.

Please let the people you care about know how you feel. Reach out to them. Reach out to strangers. Be good to each other. Love each other.

Each other is all we have.
